Bangladesh Medical University held a seminar on the ‘evaluation of Islamic medical education and ethical practice’ at the Super Specialised Hospital of BMU in Dhaka on Saturday.

Dr Omar Hassan Kasule, an internationally renowned Islamic medical educator, secretary general of the International Institute of Islamic Thoughts in the United States and professor of the faculty of medicine at King Fahad Medical City, was present as chief guest at the seminar, said a press release.


He presented a keynote on ‘the importance of Islamic ethics, values ​​and modern education in medical education’.

He elaborated on the importance of combining Islamic ethics, values ​​and modern education in medical education.

The seminar was presided over by the BMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam.

He called for continuing such initiatives for the modern development of medical education based on Islamic ethics.
