All five universities have been placed within the 801–1,000 band among the universities in the THE rankings released on Thursday.

A DU press release said that a 16-member committee had worked for a long time to improve the position of DU in the world rankings under the overall supervision of the vice-chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan.

DU VC congratulated all concerned, including the teachers and students of the university, for this ranking success.

This year, the DIU has demonstrated strong global performance across all ranking indicators and has been positioned 292nd globally in the ‘research quality’ parameter, highlighting its growing international reputation for impactful and high-quality research.

According to the ranking, the Gazipur Agricultural University is placed nationally at the top and has secured the 461st position globally in ‘research quality’.

GAU VC Professor GKM Mustafizur Rahman stated that this recognition was not just for GAU but for the entire higher education and research landscape of Bangladesh.

‘We have demonstrated that with strategic planning, research-led teaching and adherence to international standards, it is possible to build a world-class university in Bangladesh.’

Extending his thanks and gratitude to everyone involved, he added, ‘This outstanding achievement is the result of the collective dedication of our faculty, students, and staff and field workers.’

The NSU has once again secured its position as one of the leading universities in Bangladesh in the ranking.

Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury stated that this milestone reflected the collective effort and commitment of NSU students, faculty, staff and alumni who continually strived for academic excellence and innovation.

‘We are grateful for the guidance of the NSU board of trustees and the support from the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission, whose collaboration enables us to pursue higher goals,’ the VC added.
