
Professor Mohammad Masum Iqbal has been appointed as pro-vice-chancellor of Daffodil International University.
Education ministry issued an official memo on July 31 last in this regard.
Professor Masum formally handed over his joining letter Md Sabur Khan, chairman, board of trustees of the university, on Thursday, said a press release.
Professor Masum began his teaching career in 2001 at Daffodil Institute of IT as a lecturer. In 2002 when Daffodil International University was established, he joined there as a lecturer.
A scholar from Chandpur, he earned his PhD in banking and insurance from the University of Dhaka, along with an MBA and BBS in marketing from the University of Rajshahi.
Professor Masum has established a strong global footprint through his roles as guest professor at UCSI University, Malaysia and participation in the Erasmus+ Programme at Anadolu University, Turkey. He has authored over 50 research publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and recently published a textbook on services marketing with Bangladesh Open University.
