Daffodil International University has hosted the first edition of the Asia-Pacific Summer Programme 2025 under the theme ‘together, a great summer’ at the DIU in Dhaka.
The DIU also hosted the Asia-Pacific Faculty Development Programme 2025 from July 24–26, in-association with the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific, said a press release.
The APSP and the APFDP together brought around 60 participants from 17 countries, including the United States, Sweden, Japan, Turkiye, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Palestine, Russia, Nigeria, Somaliland, Sierra Leone and Bangladesh.
Professor MR Kabir, vice-chancellor of DIU, along with other guests, graced the closing ceremony and presented tokens of appreciation and certificates to the participants of both programmes.
At APSP, participants experienced an engaging academic journey through 3-credit courses on social business for sustainable development, AI and business analytics and mobile journalism, complemented by industry visits, field trips and rich cultural exchanges.
Meanwhile, APFDP 2025 served as a 3-day platform for transformative discussions on education, research, and innovation among faculty and academic leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region.
This initiative stands as a gateway for global academic exchange and professional development. DIU remains the only university in Bangladesh consistently organising such large-scale international academic events, fostering global collaboration and connectivity each year.
