
On the occasion of July Uprising’24 Vice-chancellor of the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Professor Md Abdul Latif at a rally in Dhaka on Monday urged the people of the country to make Bangladesh free from corruption.
He made the urge at the rally, which was organised to mark the July uprising anniversary on the SAU campus, said a press release.
Presided over by president of the Mass Uprising Anniversary Programme Professor HMM Tariq Hossain, SAU pro-VC Professor Md Belal Hossain; treasurer Professor Muhammad Abul Bashar; and director of planning, development and works Professor Md Sarowar Hossain, among others, attended the programme.
To mark the anniversary, prayer and discussion meetings were organised at the University TSC Auditorium.
Bangladesh University Grants Commission chairman Professor SMA Faiz was present as chief guest while UGC member Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan was present as special guest at the programme.
Shahidul Islam, father of July martyr Farhan Faizar; and Md Mohi Uddin, father of July martyr Yamin, were also present as invited guests at the event.
