Universal College Bangladesh celebrated the Monash College Graduation Convocation 2025 at Le Méridien Dhaka Saturday evening.
A release of the college said that 120 students pursuing Monash University Foundation Year and Monash College Diploma programmes graduated on this day. This year’s convocation marked the fourth graduation ceremony held by the UCBD for the 8th and 9th intakes to Monash programmes.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome and celebratory note by Universal College Bangladesh president Professor Hew Gill, who said, ‘With a 98 per cent pass rate and most of our students achieving top grades, I am delighted to say that UCBD students in Dhaka achieve better results than students in Melbourne.’
The graduation ceremony ended with the awarding of certificates and celebration of student achievements, paving the way for their continued success in global academic institutions.
The event was attended by acting Australian high commissioner Clifton Pobke, representatives from schools, colleges and major commercial organisations across Bangladesh, members of the UCBD board, UCBD dean of academic affairs Md Ismail Hossain and STS Group chief executive officer Manas Singh.
