The Directorate of Outreach Programme at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University held a training programme on the use of climate-smart agricultural systems for sustainable production at Sirajdikhan in Munshiganj on Wednesday.

Professor Mohammad Zamshed Alam, director of the outreach programme, was present as the chief guest at the event at the seminar room of Sirajdikhan Upazila Parishad, said a press release.


He said that with climate change, the fish farmers would have to increase fish production by using climate-friendly sustainable development fishing technology.

Senior upazila fisheries officer Md Selim Reza was present as special guest at the event, which was presided over by SAU outreach programme associate director Professor Muhammad Humayun Kabir.

Forty fish farmers participated in the training, including 6 women.
