The Southeast University has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Washington University of Science and Technology in the United States to foster mutual development through joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programmes, academic innovation and shared learning resources. 

The MoU was signed at the Washington University of Science and Technology campus in Alexandria, United States on June 19, said a press release on Sunday.


The MoU was signed by SEU vice-chancellor Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam and WUST chairman and chancellor Abubokor Hanip. Also present was WUST president Hasan Karabuk.

Speaking on the occasion, Yusuf Mahbubul Islam expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, ‘This MoU opens up new horizons for our students and faculty, enhancing international exposure and research collaboration in a meaningful way.’

 Hasan Karaburk emphasised the significance of the partnership in promoting global academic excellence and innovation. He remarked, ‘We are delighted to partner with the Southeast University in this initiative to advance shared knowledge and global engagement.’
