The University Grants Commission of Bangladesh is going to publish three books of three university teachers. 

The UGC has signed separate agreements with the authors of the books at the UGC meeting room in Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release.


UGC member Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan was present as chief guest at the ceremony, which was moderated by UGC’s deputy director of public relations and publications, Mouli Azad.

On behalf of the UGC, its secretary Md Fakhrul Islam and the author of the books Chittagaong University teacher Makhon Chandra Roy, Dhaka University teacher Deepti Rani Dutta and DU teacher Kalidas Bhakta signed the agreement separately.

Makhon Chandra Roy’s book is titled Satinath Bhaduri’s Literary Works: Context and Variation; Deepti Rani Dutta’s book titled Ekushey Alpana: The Transformation of Women Alpana and the New Politicl-Cultural  Expansion; and Kalidas Bhakta is the author of the book titled Panchatantra’s Society, Politics and Moral Education.

Tanzimuddin Khan said that these books would help in creating new knowledge at the higher education level, expressing hope that higher education students would benefit after reading the books.

He also assured to continue the UGC’s overall cooperation in publishing quality books in higher education.
