
A meeting titled ‘Review of Activities and Future Plans of Karmasangsthan Bank for Employment Generation among the Unemployed Youth of the Country’ held at Karmasangsthan Bank head office on Thursday.
Financial Institutions Division secretary Nazma Mobarek attended the meeting as chief guest, said a press release.
Karmasangsthan Bank chairman and former secretary AFM Matiur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Karmasangsthan Bank managing director Arun Kumar Chowdhury, general managers Mahmuda Yasmin, Md Shafiqul Islam Mia, Md Amirul Islam, FID additional secretary Md Sayed Kutub, joint secretary Maksuma Akter Banu and deputy secretary Muhammad Mizanur Rahman were present in this meeting.
In her speech, chief guest Nazma Mobarek emphasised the importance of increasing loan disbursement to empower marginalised women and generate employment.
She also advised increasing financing for environmentally friendly projects.
Additionally, she highlighted the need to finance a greater number of trained unemployed youth to promote employment creation.
In his speech, AFM Matiur Rahman noted that the role of the Karmasangsthan Bank was creating employment for unemployed youth is closely linked to the country’s socio-economic development.
He expressed a commitment to transforming unemployed youth into entrepreneurs.
Arun Kumar Chowdhury stated that the Karmasangsthan Bank was functioning as a driving force in building a self-reliant, skilled, and capable young generation in the country.
He also mentioned that the bank was not just a loan-providing institution but was being established as a creative hub for entrepreneurship development.
During the meeting, Md Moshiur Rahman, DGM of loan and advance department of Karmasangsthan Bank presented detailed information about the bank’s activities and future plans for employment generation among unemployed youth.
On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Karmasangsthan Bank, the secretary of the Financial Institutions Division extended heartfelt greetings to all customers, stakeholders, well-wishers and staff of the bank and wished for the continued prosperity of the institution.
