Tareq Refat Ullah Khan has been appointed as managing director and chief executive officer of BRAC Bank effective Tuesday, said a press release.
He has been serving as MD and CEO (current charge) of the bank since May 27.
Earlier in April, he was promoted to additional managing director and head of corporate and institutional banking.
He joined BRAC Bank in 2017 as head of credit risk management, bringing about three decades of experience at leading financial institutions, including Eastern Bank, AB Bank and IFIC Bank.
He began his career at IFIC Bank and later held senior leadership roles at AB Bank and Eastern Bank Limited, where he was executive vice president and head of relationship, corporate banking division.
