Modhumoti Bank PLC organised a workshop on Islamic Banking Fundamentals: Concept and Operational Methodology of Islamic Banking on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Bank鈥檚 Head Office in Gulshan, said a press release on Sunday.
The event was graced by the presence of Md Shafiul Azam, managing director and CEO of Modhumoti Bank, as the chief guest. while Shahnawaj Chowdhury, additional managing director, and Arab Fazlur Rahman, deputy managing director and chief business officer, attended the event as special guests.
Md Abdul Awwal Sarker, director of Janata Bank PLC and former executive director of Bangladesh Bank conducted the workshop, where MANCOM members, divisional heads and executives, and different branch managers of the Bank were present.
Basic concepts and operating methods of Islamic Banking were thoroughly discussed in the workshop.
Following the substantive discussions, the programme concluded with a constructive and interactive question and answer session.
