Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain has resigned as managing director of Southeast Bank Limited, citing health issues.
He submitted his resignation to the bank鈥檚 chairman on Monday, according to a press release.
Earlier on May 4, the bank鈥檚 board of directors placed Sadeque on a three-month forced leave, which was scheduled to end on August 4.
Additional managing director Abidur Rahman Chowdhury has been serving as acting managing director during this this period.
Sadeque was appointed as managing director of the bank on April 5, 2023.
Prior to that, he served as the bank鈥檚 deputy managing director.
