BRAC Bank on Thursday opened its first ‘Digital First’ branch at North Gulshan Avenue in the capital, said a press release.

Chairperson Meheriar M Hasan inaugurated the branch on the day.

Among others, BRAC executive director Asif Saleh, BRAC Bank managing director and chief executive officer (current charge) Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, deputy managing director and branch distribution network head Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque were present.

Commenting on the inauguration, Meheriar M Hasan said, ‘We are expanding our branch network across the country as part of our strategic move to reach out to customers with convenient banking solutions. Having a wider physical branch network alongside the digital banking capabilities, we want to ensure superior services to our valued customers.’

The branch is equipped with several well-crafted digital solutions to make banking faster and efficient. Key features include a ‘DIGI Box’, a 24/7 digital delivery system for secure collection of cheques and cards and an easy digital file-sharing service for seamless transfers. To enhance customer experience, the branch utilises a matrix of QR codes that empower customers with ability to make complaints and give suggestions.

A queue management solution is in place to minimise wait times. A dedicated Digital Corner, guided by a digital ambassador, is available to help visitors understand and use the bank’s existing digital platforms.

The branch also features an exclusive premium lounge coupled with a locker facility.
