Bangladesh Nationalist Party acting chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday asked grassroots leaders and activists of the party to remain united and on high alert to resist all invisible and visible forces conspiring against the party.
Tarique made the call while exchanging views with the leaders and activists of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions on the third day of view exchange meetings with grassroots leaders and activists of the party.
Connecting virtually from London, Tarique said that the fall of dictatorship was victory of the long movement of people who loved democracy.
Expressing strong optimism, he said that if grassroots kept a watchful eye, no conspirators would be able to tarnish the reputation of the party.
He instructed the grassroots leaders and activists of the party to be alert all the time to counter these conspiracies.
He also said that the people of Bangladesh would decide who will form the government in the future.
He warned the party activists that in the recent past, autocracy was the visible oppressor of the masses and now its allies were conspiring to question the victory.
He said that invisible enemies were more dangerous than visible opponents.
‘We know the visible enemies, we know their attack patterns, but the invisible enemies are unknown and everywhere. Their location is dark, and their tactics are stealthy,’ he said.
