
Rakib Hasan, renowned for his Tin Goyenda series of juvenile thrillers, passed away on Wednesday while receiving treatment in Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. He was 75.
Rakib Hasan is survived by two sons.
His son, Rahid Hasan, confirmed that Rakib Hasan, who had been suffering from kidney complications, died during dialysis around 1:30 p.m.
Born on December 12, 1950, in Cumilla, Rakib Hasan began his writing career as a translator of world-famous classic novels under Sheba Prokashoni.
He authored over 400 books, including the Tin Goyenda series, inspired by Robert Arthur鈥檚 The Three Investigators, earning him a special place in the hearts of thousands of young readers.
