FIFA had imposed the ban on the Motijheel-based outfit earlier this month over its inability to clear the last six months wages of Uzbek footballer Sardor Jakhonov from the last season.

‘We cleared Jakhonov’s due wages after negotiating with him. Finally, we got the clearance letter lifting the ban from FIFA today [Wednesday],’ Bangladesh Football Federation secretary Ahmad Ali told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ·.

'We are now focusing on forming the team. We will retain all local players who played for the club in the last season. So, our next duty would be to sign foreign players [four]. Hope we will be able to do that with the time we have,’ he added.

Fakirerpool avoided relegation by finishing eighth in the 10-team BPL last season.
