
The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union and hall union elections on Tuesday saw a voter turnout of 78.33 per cent of the total 39,874 registered voters, chief returning officer Professor Md Jasim Uddin announced.
Voting was held from 8:00am to 4:00pm across all residential halls of the university.
According to official data, voter participation by hall was as follows: Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Hall 80.24 per cent, Amar Ekushey Hall 83.30 per cent, Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall 81.43 per cent, Jagannath Hall 82.44 per cent, Shahid Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall 84.56 per cent, Salimullah Muslim Hall 83 per cent, Ruqayyah Hall 65.50 per cent, Surja Sen Hall 88 per cent, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall 83.37 per cent, Shamsun Nahar Hall 63.67 per cent, Kabi Jasimuddin Hall 86 per cent, A.F. Rahman Hall 82.50 per cent, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall 75 per cent, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall 87 per cent, Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall 68.39 per cent, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall 67.08 per cent, Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall 64per cent and Bijoy Ekattor Hall 85.02 per cent.
