
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch on Sunday arrested Md Nasir Uddin, chairman of the private TV channel My TV, in a murder case related to the July Uprising.
The DMP deputy commissioner for media and public relations, Mohammad Talebur Rahman, told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that Nasir was arrested in Dhaka’s Gulshan area on Sunday evening.
‘He was arrested in a murder case related to the July Uprising filed with Jatrabari police station. He is currently in DB custody,’ he added.
Earlier in September of the past year, a murder case related to the July Uprising was filed against 25 individuals, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, My TV chairman Nasir and his son content creator Tawhid Afridi.
