A team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Branch arrested former independent lawmaker for Munshiganj-3 Mohamamd Faisal Biplob in the capital鈥檚 Manipuripara area on Sunday night.
The DMP DB joint commissioner for South and Admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam said that the former lawmaker was arrested at about 10:00pm on Sunday.
鈥榃e have found three cases filed against him in Munshiganj. We are also scrutinising whether other cases were filed against him in Dhaka,鈥� he added.
Faisal Biplob served as Bangladesh Awami League central sub-committee assistant secretary three times.
