The press wing of Bangladesh interim government chief adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on Wednesday evening said that the CA instructed law enforcement agencies to take all preparations for the 13th general election by December.

Quoting Professor Muhammad Yunus, press secretary Shafiqul Alam said the chief adviser also directed the home ministry to arrange ‘intensive’ training for the law enforcers.

Earlier, Professor Muhammad Yunus and Bangladesh Nationalist Party acting chairman Tarique Rahman, on June 13, in a meeting in London, agreed that the next general elections could be held in mid-February 2026 when the CA was visiting the United Kingdom on a four-day official tour.
