A team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Branch detained former additional inspector general of police Md Iqbal Bahar from the capital鈥檚 Bayley Road area on Friday evening.
DMP DB joint commissioner for South and Admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam told 抖阴精品 that a team detained former senior police official Iqbal Bahar from the Bayley Road area at about 6:00pm on Friday.
鈥楬e is now in DB custody on Mintoo Road. We have found three cases against him. We are scrutinising cases,鈥� he said.
He, however, could not confirm the types of cases immediately.
Bahar served as Chattogram Metropolitan Police commissioner and his last posting was additional IGP at the Rajarbagh Telecommunications and Information Management before his retirement.
