The board of trustees of Gono Bishwabidyalay on Tuesday mourned the death of a BoT member of the university and former president of the Gonoshasthaya Kendra Trust, Professor Altafunnesa.
Professor Altafunnesa passed away while undergoing treatment at the Evercare Hospital in the capital on Monday, said a press release on Tuesday.聽
The GB BoT president Waliul Islam said that Professor Altafunnesa was closely involved in the Gonoshasthaya Kendra and Gona University from the very beginning.
As an active member of the university board of trustees, she played a unique role in the smooth running of the activities of the board with her visionary thoughts and advice.
In addition, as a member of the university鈥檚 academic council, she made important contributions to the smooth running of the academic and administrative activities of the university.
On behalf of the university, vice-chancellor Professor Md Abul Hossain, in a condolence message, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
