Metro rail services on the Motijheel-Shahbagh section resumed at 7:00 pm on Sunday, following a suspension of about seven hours.
The disruption began at 12:30pm after a pedestrian was killed when a bearing pad fell from the metro rail line in Dhaka鈥檚 Farmgate area.
Following the incident, ABM Arifur Rahman, project manager of Dhaka Mass Transport Company Limited, confirmed that services on the Uttara-Agargaon section were restored around 3:00 pm.
In the evening, the company issued a press release stating that the Motijheel-Shahbagh section resumed operations at 7:15 pm.
However, company officials could not confirm when services on the Bijoynagar-Karwan Bazar section would be resumed.
