The Bangladesh Football Federation has entered the realm of virtual football by deciding to establish three national teams to compete in the qualifying event for the FIFA E-World Cup 2025, which will take place in Saudi Arabia.

To form the Bangladesh national teams for three categories – E-football Console, E-football Mobile, and Rocket League – the BFF will run a qualifiers competition, namely E-Games National, from August to October.

The registration process for the E-football Console will remain open from August 24 to 29 before the qualification round will be held from August 31 to September 3 and the knockout stages – quarter-finals, semi-finals and final – will be held on September 4.

The registration process for the E-football Mobile will remain open from August 29 to 31 before the qualification round will be held from September 6 to September 17 and the knockout stages will be held on September 20.

The registration process for the Rocket League will remain open from August 25 to September 12 before the qualification round will be held from September 15 to September 17, while the knockout stages will be held on October 5.

The BFF approved E-football in the meeting on Saturday, a day before president Tabith Awal disclosed the details during a press conference on Sunday.

The BFF will form a committee to run the local competitions for the national teams before they compete in the World Cup qualifiers.
