Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, special assistant to chief adviser on posts, telecommunications and information technology, said that optimal allocation and parity in sub-1 GHz low-band spectrum would be essential to achieving an inclusive digital society.
He made the remark during his recent visit to Banglalink headquarters and its state-of-the-art Network Management Centre, said a press release.
During the visit, Taiyeb highlighted the strategic importance of the 700 MHz band in expanding rural coverage, reducing network congestion and ensuring equal opportunities for all operators to deliver high-quality digital connectivity nationwide.
Banglalink’s management presented its ongoing investments in network modernisation and quality enhancement, including application of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to strengthen quality of service, improve data speeds and ensure a seamless customer experience nationwide.
The company also highlighted its efforts to extend digital and financial services to underserved communities, contributing to the government’s digitalization agenda.
