The Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Friday withdrew the expulsion orders against seven of its leaders, who had earlier also been removed from all party positions for alleged violations of party discipline.
The BNP decision came in a press release signed by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
According to the release, the seven leaders were expelled for engaging in activities deemed inconsistent with party ideals and policies.
The party leadership has now reinstated them following their appeals.
The reinstated leaders are former BNP National Executive Committee member and ex-convener of Bhaluka Upazila BNP in Mymensingh Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu, former senior joint convener of Gazipur City BNP Rakibul Uddin Sarkar Pappu, former joint convener of Chattogram District (North) BNP Nurul Amin, former convener of Mathbaria Upazila BNP in Pirojpur Ruhul Amin Dulal, former president of Jaldhaka Upazila BNP in Nilphamari Tahmid Faisal Chowdhury, and former Rangpur district BNP members Mokarram Hossain Sujon and Md Ali Sarkar.
The BNP release stated that the expulsions of the seven leaders had been withdrawn, with their primary membership in the party restored.
