Today is the 13th founding anniversary of the Nagarik Oikya, a partner of Ganatantra Mancha.
The party was formed on June 1, 2012, with a vow to establish the country as a welfare state.
The party had taken different programmes to observe the day.
The programmes include hoisting national and party flags at the party central office on Topkhana Road on Sunday morning and its offices across the country.
Centrally the day will be observed after Eid-ul-Azha, a party press release said.
In the beginning, the Nagarik Oikya was a social organisation and on June 1, 2017, it was declared as a political party.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna was elected as its president and Shahidulla Kaisar as general secretary.
After fall of the fascist Awami League regime on August 5, the party was working for democratic transition of Bangladesh.
