Jatiya Party expressed concern over increasing train fares as it would increase sufferings of the common people.
Bangladesh Railway had increased train fares, which were effected from Saturday.
Chairman of the party and also leader of the opposition in the parliament Ghulam Muhammad Quader on Saturday in a press statement expressed concern over increasing of train fares.
The common people and the people of lower-income generally use train for their travel, and the recent increase of fares will increase sufferings of the people, said GM Quader.
He called on the government to withdraw the train fare increase for the welfare of the common people.
Moreover the prices of the essential commodities would increase further, GM Quader said.
