Performers from the Drama Club of English department at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology have earned different awards at the Bangladesh University of Professionals Lit Fest 8.0 held on the university campus recently.
Organised by the Literature and Drama Club of BUP, the festival brought together top talents from universities across the country to compete in the art of stage performance, said a press release on Wednesday.
The Drama Club won the champion鈥檚 trophy in both group performance and solo performance, and also secured the runner-up trophy in solo performance.
SMUCT Drama Club鈥檚 Suraiya Islam Dipty became solo winner while Anshil Azim Afridi became solo runner-up, and Bony Amin Niloy and Tasmia Hassan became group champion in the fest.
The stellar achievements of SMUCT鈥檚 Drama Club at this event have not only elevated the reputation of the university but also inspired students to strive for excellence in the arts, added the press release.
