Citizens Bank PLC signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Pension Authority to support the implementation of the government鈥檚 Universal Pension Scheme.
The signing ceremony was held on Wednesday in the conference room of the Finance Division at the Ministry of Finance, according to a press release.
Alamgir Hossain, managing director of Citizens Bank and Md Mohiuddin Khan, executive chairman of the National Pension Authority, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Md Kairuzzaman Mozumder, secretary of the Finance Division, attended the occasion as chief guest.
Through this deal, Citizens Bank will handle customer registration and monthly subscription collection for all active pension schemes鈥擯rogati, Surakkha, Somota and Probash.
Customers can easily register and contribute through the bank鈥檚 branches, sub-branches, and alternative channels.
