Janata Bank PLC on Thursday added National Payment Switch Bangladesh or NPSB fund transfer and mobile recharge facilities to its digital banking app eJanata.
At the same time, the app鈥檚 user interface has been redesigned to make it more modern, attractive and secure, said a press release.
The new services were officially launched at a simple ceremony where Janata Bank chairman Md Fazlur Rahman attended as chief guest.
Managing director Md Mojibur Rahman presided over the event.聽 Among others, deputy managing directors Md Golam Mortuza, Md Fayez Alam and Md Ashraful Alam, along with general manager of ICT division Mohammad Anis, were present.
The NPSB fund transfer service will allow customers to send money quickly, easily and securely to any bank account in the country.
Meanwhile, the mobile recharge service will enable customers to instantly recharge their mobile phones, making banking services even more convenient, digital and time-efficient.
