Md Motaleb Hossain on Monday was elected chairman of Sonar Bangla Insurance Limited, said a press release.
The decision was taken during the company鈥檚 149th board meeting held on the day.
In the meeting, Shahidul Islam Niru was elected vice-chairman.
Md Motaleb Hossain is a sponsor director of the company and has previously served as vice chairperson. In addition, he is director of SBI Securities Limited, a subsidiary of Sonar Bangla Insurance Limited.
He is also chairman of Ha-Meem Group and managing director of MH Jute Mills Limited.
Shahidul Islam Niru is a Director of Bangladesh Chamber of Industry. He is owner of Eco Agro Farm. He is also serving as general body member of the FBCCI.
