Banglalink has signed a memorandum of understanding with FloSolar Solutions Limited recently to install a 100 MW solar power plant, said a press release.

As per this agreement, FloSolar and relevant partners will develop, finance and operate the solar plant, while Banglalink will purchase the generated power through a long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement.


With this partnership, Banglalink aims to power more than 15,000 BTS sites, data centres and Special Purchase Vehicles with solar energy.

The company plans to convert 60 per cent of its energy consumption into renewable energy.

Huseyin Turker, chief technology and information officer of Banglalink, said, ‘This solar power project with FloSolar will create a stronger renewable energy ecosystem in Bangladesh and set a benchmark for future large-scale renewable deployments.’

Mustafa Azim Kasem Khan, founder and managing director of FloSolar, said, ‘Through innovation project structures and long-term corporate power purchase agreements, we aim to deliver scalable solar solutions that align with corporate social responsibility strategy while advancing Bangladesh’s national climate goals.’
