PRAN-RFL Group, one of the leading industrial conglomerates in the country, has recently donated to the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Foundation Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The contribution was made from the company’s Workers Profit Participation Fund, said a press release on Tuesday.
Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Md Sanwar Jahan Bhuiyan received the donation cheque at the ministry’s office in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
 On behalf of PRAN-RFL Group, director for marketing Kamruzzaman Kamal and deputy general manager Touhiduzzaman were present.
Speaking about the donation, Kamruzzaman Kamal said, ‘Industrial development and workers welfare are interconnected…PRAN-RFL Group’s contribution will help strengthen this fund.’
Established in 1981, PRAN-RFL Group has been operating in diverse sectors including food and beverages, houseware products, electronics, light engineering and textiles.
At present, PRAN-RFL Group employs more than 1,50,000 people across its operations.
