
Midland Bank PLC and Milvik Bangladesh Limited on Sunday signed an agreement at the bank鈥檚 head office, said a press release.
This strategic partnership is set to leverage digital technologies and financial inclusion initiatives to address the growing demand for accessible healthcare, not only in urban areas but also in rural and remote areas.
MDB SEVP and institutional banking division head Mohd Javed Tarek Khan and Milvik country manager Shihab Uddin Chowdhury signed the agreement.
The agreement outlines a joint effort to create sustainable healthcare solutions that will improve health outcomes through technology-driven platforms.
Midland Bank鈥檚 expertise in financial services will complement Milvik Bangladesh鈥檚 cutting-edge healthcare technologies, focusing on the use of telemedicine, health monitoring, mobile health applications, and digital health records to provide healthcare services to individuals who are geographically distant or unable to access traditional medical facilities.
Among others, Midland Bank retail distribution division head Md Rashed Akter, digital financial services head Omar Sharif, cash management head Mohammad Hassibur Rahman, relationship manager Ashrafur Rahman, Milvik country lead (mhealth) Mohammad Ishaque, country lead (finance and admin) Riaz Mostafa and country lead (field sales) Rahat Ikbal were present.
Key objectives of the collaboration include subscription collection through agent banking of Midland Bank, API connection for app-in-app service, special discounts for Midland Bank cardholders, Milvik subscription with MDB payroll package and health campaigns for Midland Bank鈥檚 corporate clients.
