NRB Bank PLC has recently participated as title sponsor of ‘Sylhet Women Entrepreneur Summit & Aparajita Awards 2025’ held at Aman Ullah Convention Centre in Sylhet, said a press release.
The event celebrated contributions of 12 women entrepreneurs from across the country, recognising their achievements and leadership in various sectors.
In addition, in recognition of its continuous support for the development of small and medium enterprises in the Sylhet region, NRB Bank received ‘Excellence Award in SME Banking.’

Ali Akbar Faraji, Sylhet regional head Prashanta Kumar Singh, SME and agri head AM Zahed and SBM Md Faizul Kabir Chowdhury.
Key dignitaries present at the event included Ariful Haque Chowdhury, former Sylhet City Corporation mayor, Md Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College principal, Khaled Ahmad, ED of Bangladesh Bank, additional director Md Nazrul Islam, and Md Anwar Sadat, additional commissioner of Sylhet Inspecting Range-1.
As per the release, NRB Bank reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women and supporting the growth of entrepreneurs. The bank believes that enabling women entrepreneurs and fostering SME development are key drivers of Bangladesh’s overall economic growth.
