Shomvob, a leading B2B job-tech and HR tech platform in Bangladesh, has been selected for the Forbes Asia ‘100 to Watch’ list of 2025.
The list, now in its fifth year, spotlights innovative startups across the Asia-Pacific region that are making waves with fresh ideas, strong execution, and measurable impact.
Shomvob was founded by Rifad Hossain, Naqib Muhammad Faiyaz, and Hasibur Rahman in 2022, and has quickly emerged as a game-changer for Bangladesh’s workforce, particularly in the blue- and silver-collar segments.
Its platform enables job seekers to create a digital professional identity, gain access to relevant training, and connect with employers directly by eliminating inefficiencies that often slow down or block fair access to jobs.
Shomvob demonstrates a strong commitment to drive social impact (SDG Goals 1: No poverty and Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth) by providing job opportunities for the historically underserved low-income women population in the country.
Shomvob works closely with international organizations like the Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Swisscontact, Roots of Impact, etc., to drive meaningful livelihood and financial freedom.
Shomvob also secured pre-seed funding from Cocoon Capital, a Singapore-based early-stage venture capital firm, in May 2022.
The 2025 Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list includes startups from 16 countries across industries like consumer technology, fintech, healthcare, energy, and agriculture, collectively representing the next generation of business leaders in the region.
