Pathao has introduced Pathao Connect that brings offline rides under protection of Pathao鈥檚 trusted system, said a press release.
Using a unique code or phone number with an OTP, either an user or a rider can easily link the ride to Pathao. Once connected, the ride becomes trackable. Rider information is saved securely and live location sharing, driver verification and even free trip safety coverage are automatically activated.
Just like with regular offline rides, a user can negotiate the fare directly with the rider and pay in cash. There are no extra charges, the release said.
When using Pathao Connect, one can also earn Pathao Points. These points can be redeemed for discounts on future rides.
