BASIC Bank Limited and Exim Bank on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Pension Authority, said a press release.
Finance secretary Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder was present as chief guest at the signing ceremony held at Finance Division premises in the capital.
On behalf of Exim Bank, managing director (current charge) Abdul Aziz signed the MoU, while managing director and chief executive officer Md Quamruzzaman Khan signed on behalf of BASIC Bank.
From the NPA, executive chairman Md Mahiuddin Khan inked the agreement.
Under the MoU, BASIC Bank and Exim Bank will assist individuals in enrolling in various Universal Pension Schemes and facilitate collection of monthly subscription instalments.
This initiative aims to make participation in the Universal Pension Scheme more accessible and convenient for the general public.
