AKM Shahnawaj has been promoted to additional managing director of Dhaka Bank PLC, said a press release.
He joined Dhaka Bank in 2013 as senior executive vice-president and served the bank in the capacity of regional manager, Chattagram, manager of local office branch, Dhaka and lastly as deputy managing director since July 2018 prior to his promotion.
He started his banking career in 1989 as a probationary officer at Arab Bangladesh bank Limited. He also served at Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Bank Asia PLC.
He completed his MBA from IBA, Dhaka University.
