Online Bangla-language literary magazine Pratidhwani has published its maiden literary journal under the same title to satisfy book lovers yearning for a tangible experience.
The journal titled Pratidhwani contains interviews, stories, essays and more.
It contains an unpublished interview of Syed Shamsul Haque, an unpublished letter of Hasan Azizul Haque as well as interviews of Chilean novelist Roberto Bola帽o, Indian-born Ugandan author Mahmood Mamdani, Canadian author Naomi Klein and one of the 20th century鈥檚 greatest poets T S Eliot. The interviews have been translated into Bangla by Polash Mahmud, Rezaul Karim, Upal Barua and Nelson.
It also contains a conversation between Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman and Sobhanlal Datta Gupta and essays authored by 抖阴精品 editor Nurul Kabir, Faizul Latif Chowdhury, Omar Kaiser, Mustafa Salim, Kartik Ghagra and Alison Chakma.
Besides, the journal, edited by poet and essayist Shakhawat Tipu, contains stories written by Afsana Begum, Wasi Ahmed, Nasreen Jahan, Asif Nazrul, Khokon Kaiser and Tanzina Hossain.
It also offers an essay by Martin Heidegger translated into Bangla by Hamim Kamrul Haque and an article on film by Bidhan Rebeiro.
Five poems by Am铆lcar Cabral, Bengt Berg, Les Wicks, Sotirios Pastakas and Azam Abidov translated by Alam Khorshed, Zillur Rahman, Mushtaq Ahmed, Shakhawat Tipu and Hasnat Soyeb are also available in the journal.
Artist Rajib Dutta has designed the cover of Pratidhwani, which is available at different bookshops, including Prothoma, Baatighar, Pathak Shamabesh, Taxila, Ebong Koyekjon, Prokriti and others.
