Bangladesh have been pitted in Group A with former champions China, Vietnam and hosts Thailand as the draw of the AFC Under-20 Women鈥檚 Asian Cup was held in Bangkok on Monday.

The 12 participating teams were divided into three groups for the tournament, which will be played from April 1 to 18, next year in Thailand.

Group B features defending champions North Korea, two-time winners South Korea, Uzbekistan and Jordan.

Group C comprises six-time champions Japan, along with Australia, Chinese Taipei, and India.

The top two teams from each group and the two best second-placed sides will advance to the quarter-finals.

The top four finishers will directly qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women鈥檚 World Cup 2026 in Poland, with North Korea as defending champions.

Earlier, Bangladesh defeated hosts Laos 3-1, Timor-Leste 8-0 and suffered a 6-1 defeat to South Korea in the qualifiers in August, but ensured their place in the main event as one of the three best runners-up.
