The Bangladesh national women’s football team held upper-ranked Indonesia to a goalless draw in their opening match of the Tri-Nation Women’s Football Series at the King Abdullah Stadium in Amman on Saturday.Ìý

Peter Butler’s charges, who are 39 places behind Indonesia (94th) in the latest FIFA rankings, will face the hosts, Jordan, in the next match at the same venue on Tuesday.


Bangladesh are competing in these matches as part of their preparation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers campaign in Myanmar from June 25 to July 5.Ìý

This was their first international friendly since they faced the UAE in a two-match friendly series, where they conceded identical 3-1 defeats in both games in Dubai on February 26 and March 2.
