
The Bangladesh national football team left for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for a preparation camp ahead of their AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers third round match against India on March 25.
Defender Rahmat Mia could not fly with the team due to getting his visa late, but he is expected to leave for Saudi Arabia today.聽
Bangladesh will play a friendly against Sudan on March 8 or 9, and they are also scheduled to play two further friendlies against any available second division teams from Taif and a Super Cup club.聽
However, the match schedule has yet to be confirmed. Bangladesh will return home on March 17.
Italian fourth-tier outfit Olbia Calcio FC midfielder Fahamedul Islam and Sheffield United midfielder Hamza Chowdhury are set to join the squad on March 10 and 18, respectively, before the team leaves for India on March 20.
In the double-leg format qualifiers, Bangladesh will play home and away matches against India, Hong Kong, and Singapore in their Group C campaign.
The top-placed team from the group will qualify for the finals of the AFC Asian Cup 2027.
