Faruque Hosain, chief reporter of The Daily Inqilab, and Solamain Salman, senior staff correspondent of 抖阴精品, were elected the president and the general secretary of the Education Reporters Association, Bangladesh, respectively.

The ERAB Annual General Meeting and the election of the executive committee for the next two years were held on Friday night at a resort in Norsingdi amid festivity.


The other executive committee members are Shahed Matiur Rahman of The Daily Nayadiganta (vice-president), Asif Hasan Kajol of The Daily Janakantho (joint secretary), Naziur Rahman Sohel of The Daily Bhorer Dak (treasurer), Erfanul Haque of The Daily Campus (organising secretary), and Abdullah Al Jubair of Kalbela (office and publication secretary).

Shariful Alam Sumon, special correspondent of The Daily Kaler Kantho, and Humayun Kabir of Jugantor were elected executive members.

Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum general secretary and ERAB senior member Masudul Haque conducted the election as the chief election commissioner, while ERAB former president Nejamul Haque and former president Sabbir Nawej acted as the election commissioners of the polls.

ERAB, an organisation of journalists covering reports of education sector, and is also a government registered organisation.
