Bangladesh will kick-start their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup campaign against the West Indies on February 7, 2026, in Kolkata, as the International Cricket Council announced the fixtures and groups of the marquee event to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group C against former champions England and the West Indies, along with Asian counterparts Nepal and newcomers Italy.

After their clash against the West Indies, Bangladesh will play their next two games against Italy and England at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, on February 9 and 14 as well.

They will play their final group game against Nepal at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 17.

The 20-team tournament will be played across 29 days and eight venues (five in India and three in Sri Lanka).

The matches will start at 11:30am, 3:30pm, and 7:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time.

A total of 40 group matches will be played between February 7 and 20, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the Super Eights phase from February 21.

The top four sides at the completion of the Super Eights will qualify for the knockout stages of the event, with semi-finals to be held in Kolkata or Colombo and Mumbai ahead of the title decider on March 8 in Ahmedabad or Colombo.

Pakistan will play all of their matches in Sri Lanka amid the political situation with their arch-rivals and current world champions, India.

However, in keeping with recent trends, they have been placed in the same group once more – Group A. Notably, this is the only group that includes three associate countries: USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands.

Group B has four ICC full member nations, including former champions Australia and Sri Lanka, along with Zimbabwe and Ireland.

‘It is wonderful to welcome the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup back to the subcontinent so soon after a groundbreaking Women’s Cricket World Cup. The passion for cricket in this region is unmatched, and fans have been waiting eagerly for another global spectacle,’ said the ICC chairman Jay Shah, speaking on the fixtures announcement.
