Rubaba Dowla will replace Abdur Razzak as the chairperson of the women鈥檚 wing as the Bangladesh Cricket Board reshuffled the roles of various standing committees on Tuesday.聽
Rubaba, who was nominated as one of the directors by the National Sports Council, has been without a designated role until Tuesday.聽
Razzak, however, will continue to contribute to the department in the role of vice chairman.
The former national team spinner will serve as chairman of high performance, taking over from Khaled Mashud.
Mashud, meanwhile, will move to the position of chairman of the grounds committee. He succeeds BCB president Aminul Islam, who has headed the committee since the recent board election.
The standing committee was announced soon after the latest election of the BCB held in early October.聽
Faruque Ahmed, one of the vice-presidents, still doesn鈥檛 have any committee.聽
Meanwhile, the BCB is set to conduct a gender-sensitivity training session today at the National Cricket Academy building of the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
The departmental in-charges, as well as all the women cricketers under the board鈥檚 contracts, have been asked to attend the session.聽
The initiative comes on the back of the recent turmoil in women鈥檚 cricket that started with the sexual harassment allegations made by the former national team captain Jahanara Alam.聽
