Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday announced the squad for the forthcoming Hong Kong Sixes 2025, scheduled to be held from November 7 to 9.聽
Akbar Ali will lead the squad after captaining Bangladesh A side in the Top End Series in Australia.
All-rounder Abu Hider Rony will also feature in the tournament, alongside attacking opener Jishan Alam.聽
Jishan retained his place after an outstanding showing in the 2024 edition, scored 152 runs at an average of 76 and took six wickets in four matches.
Mohammad Saifuddin keeps his spot after taking three wickets in four games last year, while seasoned campaigner Mosaddek Hossain, who played 80 international matches across formats, will add balance to the team.
Left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and Tofael Ahmed were also included for this edition, where all the matches are scheduled to be played at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, players who will take part in the event will miss their third round matches of the ongoing National Cricket League.聽
Bangladesh made a strong impression in the 2024 edition by reaching the semi-finals.
