The Bangladesh ‘A’ team begins their Top End T20 campaign in Darwin, Australia, today when they take on Pakistan Shaheens (Pakistan ‘A’) in the tournament opener at the TIO Stadium.

The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time and T Sports will telecast it live.

This is the second time a Bangladeshi team is participating in the competition after Bangladesh HP emerged runner-up in 2024.

Bangladesh sent an experienced squad with Nurul Hasan being the captain.

Before leaving the country, Nurul hoped to clinch the title this time, as he stated that Bangladesh needed some trophies.

Apart from Bangladesh and Pakistan, international sides from Nepal and the USA are among the 11 teams participating.

Bangladesh’s next match will be against Nepal ‘A’ on August 16 before they are scheduled to take on Perth Scorchers on August 17.

Their last three matches are against NT Strike, Melbourne Stars Academy and Adelaide Strikers on August 19, 21 and 23, respectively.

The semifinals and the final will be held on August 24.
